Very good toilettries unlike generic cheap stuffs that hotel used to provide. They use Gordon Castle, I ended up using the provided toilettries, which is very rare. Spacious bathroom and comfortable room. Giant tv screen. Free lounge at the lobby, and there is bar downstairs with big screen for sporting match. Just realised at the end of our stay that free playstastion playing at the lounge with huge screen and projector. I would think this is the best value for money during my various stays all over UK. Typically the stays in UK involves old room with minimal facilities and not so friendly service. This hotel is bright funky but comfortable (the room is not bright, so plus point). Will stay here again if I come back to Edinburgh at some point.

Hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at in many years, only one downside was the wifi signal wasn’t the best. Other than that it was top tier, location was perfect for the heart of edinburgh and everything we needed, the room was large, the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on, built in surround sound speakers to play music anywhere in the room, waterfall shower was amazing, room was spotless, huge TV with Sky and even a sega classics game console and coffee machine in the room. The best part was the noise cancelling, couldn’t hear a peep from outside our door. 10/10 fully recommend.

The central location is great for getting to Edinburgh Old Town,Castle etc. I walked to South St.David's St. In 20inutes easily to get the airport bus. Note: the fare is £4.50 to Edinburgh Airport ,they DON'T give change and they DON'T take credit cards,so have the exact fare ready. I didn't and had to "donate" an extra £5.50 as I only had a £10 note. It's next door to an excellent bar ? Brewdog? That serves great pizza. There is live entertainment next door.( but that can be a problem....read on...)

The room was surprisingly spacious and had all the facilities/amenities you'd expect. In fact, for coffee and tea, there was a kettle and several jars full of coffee and tea bags rather than just 2 sticks. Bluetooth in the room to connect to music. Bathroom big and clean with a rainfall shower. Located super close to Grassmarket and Royal Mile. Breakfast is a bit expensive, despite a few hot choices. There's the Three Sisters Pub on the ground floor/behind the hotel.

This hotel was wonderfully located in the center of town. We were within easy walking distance of Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Although located in a busy part of town, our room was tucked away and very quiet, with comfortable beds, a roomy bathroom, and all the basic amenities we needed. The layout and furnishings of the room maximized the space. The decor throughout was wonderfully modern and eclectic. Couldn't have been happier!
